Gemma Gylling "Wolf" workshop

Our 2015 workshop was given by Gemma Gylling, CPSA, AFC at the Bothwell Arts Center in Livermore, April 18-19.  The subject was a timber wolf, on sueded mat board.  Gemma provided workbooks of step-by-step instructions so everyone could follow along at their own pace and easily finish their projects at home.  We learned not only the particulars of working on sueded mat board, but how to make fur look like fur and the texture of animal noses and mouths look right by including colors that one might not expect, like Blue Violet Lake.
Hard at work!

Happy progress at the end of the workshop!

Everyone's work was fabulous!
